Added supply will flatten prices next year

At a time of the year when prices usually remain flat, polypropylene producers have seen some upward price movement in polypropylene pricing in the past few months with increasing demand.

Effective May 17th, Ashland Chemical's Composite Polymers Div. raised prices for specialty (corrosion-resistant, fire-retardant, pultrusion and automotive resins), general purpose and isophthalic resins by up to 5¢/lb.
