Ofcom, the UK's RF spectrum regulator has announced that a licence to use the L-band spectrum has been awarded to Qualcomm UK Spectrum Ltd. The licence fee paid was £8,334,000. The license follows an on-line auction and was for spectrum in the 1452-1492 MHz band.
