Well, no more: Netflix has announced it will now begin charging $1 more per month for access to renting Blu-ray movies. To justify the increase, Netflix cites the price of Blu-ray movies compared to standard DVDs.

My Toshiba HD-DVD player does a great job of upconverting. I was really surprised the first time I watched a standard DVD on it. I'd love to see a comparison with this XDE player. It's hard to believe they've even improved it further.
