Trailer Park of Terror

www.variety.com

The line between tongue-in-cheek satire and torture-porn sadism is messily smudged in Trailer Park of Terror, an exuberantly white-trashy horror opus that pays wink-wink tribute to Southern-fried exploitation fare of the sort that haunted drive-ins and grindhouses during the 1970s.Film

Seven Arts Pictures Starts Principal Photography on Horror Classic NIGHT OF THE DEMONS - Zibb.com

Seven Arts Pictures plc (Seven Arts) (OTCBB:SAPXF) (PLUS:SAPP) announced the start of principal photography on Friday, October 3rd, 2008 of the remake of the classic creature horror film "Night of The Demons," in New Orleans, Louisiana. Principal photography is expected to be completed before December 1st, 2008. The budget for the movie is under $15,000,000 and it is expected to be delivered before the end of the current 2009 fiscal year on June 30th 2009.

The film is a remake the classic cult horror movie first released in 1988 which spawned 3 sequels. "Night of the Demons" will be directed by Adam Gierasch who co-wrote the screenplay with his partner of many years, Jace Anderson. Adam and Jace recently earned critical acclaim with "Autopsy," the first feature film directed by Gierasch. Adam and Jace also co-wrote the horror film "Mother of Tears."

"Night of the Demons" is the story of six teens that visit an abandoned house on Halloween night. A seance goes terribly awry and they awaken a terrible force; a battle to survive ensues as they are stalked by a demon spirit. The film stars a fabulous cast including Shannon Elizabeth ("American Pie," "Scary Movie"), Monica Keena ("The Devil's Advocate," "Freddy vs. Jason," "While You Were Sleeping"), Diora Baird ("Wedding Crashers," "Texas Chainsaw Massacre-The Beginning," "My Best Friend's Girl," "Shark"-TV) and teen heartthrob Edward Furlong ("Terminator II-Judgment Day," "American History X," "Pet Cemetery II").

The academy award winning team at Drac Studios will create the demons. Drac Studios received 6 academy award nominations and 3 academy awards and has a spectacular record of technical innovation and creating unforgettable characters and creatures for film and television. Drac earned 3 Academy Awards(R), for "Bram Stoker's Dracula," for "Mrs. Doubtfire," and they received the Technical Achievement Academy Award(R) for creating state of the art advancements in silicone prosthetic makeup appliances. The company received 6 Academy Award(R) nominations for the films: "A Beautiful Mind," "Bicentennial Man," "Titanic," "Roommates," Jack Nicolson's "Hoffa," and Dustin Hoffman's Captain Hook in Steven Spielberg's classic "Hook."

Director and co-writer Adam Gierasch commented, "I couldn't be more excited! Halloween, loud music, and demons; three of my favorite things! I'm chomping at the bit to work with Drac Studios to bring them to life for moviegoers in spades. We've got a great cast, spooky locations, and some of the best demons I've ever seen. It's time to rock!"

Seven Arts' CEO, Peter Hoffman, adds, "I am very much looking forward to working with Adam again on a movie we hope to build into a successful 'Halloween' franchise, with many sequels to follow and leveraging the fan base for the genre, and the previous success of 'Night of the Demons' in the '80s and '90s. We have every confidence in Adam's ability to deliver a thoroughly frightening cinematic experience!"

For nearly a decade, Seven Arts Pictures plc has remained a prominent full service independent producer and distributor of quality feature films. Under the experienced hand of Founder and CEO, Peter Hoffman, the company has distinguished itself as a consistent source for art house quality films that boast "festival cache," as well as highly-marketable big budget feature films that appeal to a worldwide audience.

It takes hundreds, sometimes thousands of people to make a movie. Many of them play key roles without appearing on screen. A costume or an accessory giving weight to a specific scene, a powerful line in a scenario or a camera capturing the right move are all key factors contributing to the overall success of a movie. The Hamilton Behind the Camera Award, now held in collaboration with Hollywood Life Magazine, made sure to celebrate and reward these achievements.

"This event is about recognition," said Matthias Breschan, Hamilton President. "Hamilton has had a long-standing relationship with the Hollywood community and understands the long list of ingredients needed to make a movie successful. This success is built on the work of many talented people who work off-screen. With the Behind the Camera Awards we can show our appreciation of this work and officially recognize its impact on the movie industry as a whole."

This year's honorees were selected from the following 10 categories based on movies released during the year and/or presented at the prestigious festivals of Cannes, Toronto and Venice and the Festival of the American Film Institute:

-- True Grit Director, Kimberly Pierce, for "Stop Loss"
-- Super Producer, Shauna Robertson, for "Pineapple Express"
-- Screenwriter, Jenny Lumet, for "Rachel Getting Married"
-- Cinematographer, Wally Pfister, for "The Dark Knight"
-- Production Designer, Martin Laing, for "City of Ember"
-- Costume Designer, Albert Wolsky, for "Revolutionary Road"
-- Property Master, Russell Bobbitt, for "Iron Man"
-- Stunt Choreography, Doug Coleman, for "Get Smart"
-- Special Make Up Effects, DRAC Studios, for "The Curious Case of
        Benjamin Button"
-- Film Editor, Jim Page, for "Eagle Eye"

The recognition of these off-screen superstars was underlined with the presentation of the awards by leading actors, actresses and other movie professionals. Presenters at the ceremony included Harrison Ford, Anne Hathaway, Christopher Nolan and Lucy Lui.

"I'm delighted to be here tonight to celebrate those people who work behind the scenes to make us look good." - Harrison Ford
