Thanks to Republican leaders in the Illinois Senate, the Illinois Arts Council (IAC) may face its greatest budget crisis in a decade. Senate president James "Pate" Philip (R-Wooddale) and State Senator Steven J. Rauschenberger (R-Elgin) have proposed slashing the IAC budget by half.
