No dizzy limits for Dixon in 10 million high club - Zibb.com
Oct 06, 2008 (The Sydney Morning Herald - ABIX via COMTEX) --
The Australian Services Union (ASU) has criticised the massive increase in the salary package of Qantas CEO Geoff Dixon. He was paid a total of $A11.92m for the 2007-08 financial year, up from $A6.5m previously. Dixon received the second-highest salary of any airline executive in the world, behind UAL Corporation's Glenn Tilton. Dixon's pay rise coincided with a push by Qantas to restrict wage increases to just three per cent and downsize its workforce. Linda White of the ASU has described the situation as a "double standard".
