Sony (NYSE: SNE) opened at $26.92. So far today, the stock has hit a low of $26.71 and a high of $26.92. SNE is now trading at $26.71, down $0.60 (-2.2%). Over the last 52 weeks the stock has ranged from a low of $15.64 to a high of $30.82. Shares of SNE are trading lower today after a disappointing GDP report triggered worries that the recovery from the recent recession could be slower than initially predicted. The Commerce Department revised its third-quarter GDP reading down to 2.8 percent growth, from a previous reading of 3.5 percent. Analysts were expecting a reading of 2.9 percent. Technical indicators for the stock are bearish and S&P gives SNE a negative 2 STARS (out of 5) sell ranking. If you are looking for a hedged play on SNE the stock seems like it could be a candidate for a January out-of-the-money bear-call credit spread above the 30 range.
