Sonoco Products to close Montreal paperboard mill. - HARTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Packaging materials maker Sonoco Products Co. said Thursday it will close its uncoated recycled paperboard mill in Montreal on Aug. 27, citing a slumping Canadian paper industry and soaring costs.
