Amazon France chief Xavier Garambois has called for an overhaul to the French 1981 Lang Law on fixed book prices and has cited the UK as a market that has thrived since the Net Book Agreement (NBA) was scrapped in 1995.

Reporters Without Borders has learned that Radio Free Europe contributor Sazak Durdymuradov is being held against his will in a psychiatric hospital in the eastern region of Lebap that is notorious for holding dissidents. He was examined by 10 doctors who diagnosed "mental instability."
