However, with skyrocketing subscription prices and decreased or flattened library budgets, fewer journals are being purchased. This trend results in diminished access to the literature for members of that institution. Open access and self-archiving are possible solutions to this crisis.

The EBSCO Publishing online service has been restored as of 3:15 PM on Thursday, Jan. 24. Earlier, it was unavailable from 11-3:15 CST due to a power outage in Boston that knocked out the EBSCO internet service provider (ISP).

As many of you know I am investigating how to give patrons a very simple way to get the table of contents (full text links to our journals or our ILL form) emailed or to their feed reader. It has to be SIMPLE, so that my 5 year old could understand how to do it.

Checked the documentation and saw that EZProxy wasn't supposed to appear as part of the RSS feed, but couldn't figure out how to get it out, so wrote to EBSCO. This is the response I got, and it worked like a charm!:
