I can't comment on their extended service plans as I never purchase them, instead taking on the risk myself. Sounds like your best bet is to bite the bullet and head on out to the, likely very crowded, store. If you get lucky with a customer service

Impulse buying and returning costs BB money as they will need to resell the product with an open item discount or send it back to the MFG in some cases.

Fentu, I paid more at Best Buy than Costco and accepted this because I also want the extended warranty that BB offers plus, I expect a higher level of service from a company who claims to Wall Street analysts that they will not get down in the dirt

Respons time here is, on average,3-5 business days.They have been a bit quicker though lately.
