This is a fairly accessible introduction to the subject, written by a group of researchers originally from Cranfield University. Researchers and conferences at Cranfield are therefore well represented in the papers selected in support of the text.

Principles of Chemical Separations Book Review

This is an American textbook. It tells you what it’s going to tell you, it tells you, it tells you what it told you, it tests you. It quotes Benjamin Franklin, William Goldwyn, and the Rolling Stones at the beginning of its chapters.

Rules of Thumb Book Review

Elements of Environmental Chemistry Book Review

There’s hardly a thing wrong with this book as far as I can see. Whilst this is great from the author’s point of view, it is going to make for a pretty dull review. The book does however seem to do exactly what it sets out to do.

Water Treatment Principles and Design Book Review

Upon entering the field of water treatment, it quickly became clear to me that there is a lack of published information on how to design a successful water treatment plant. I came to rely on three main sources of information when designing a piece of plant for the first time.

Hazardous Chemicals Book Review

Engage your prejudices for a moment, and imagine my excitement when I realised I had agreed to read an account of the European regulatory framework for hazardous chemicals written by two German Engineers.
